The Optical Messages of Light
Originally (a traditional meaning), spectrum is apparition (ghost), a specter, oftentimes used in poetry on phantom description as "shadow;" or, " it comes like a "specter" in the night, depicting a smell of danger, or some contending consequential message transparently revealed in a way mysterious, delivered thru enigma appearance of an actual person, or thru an apparition.
Modern meaning applies to different values; although, not exactly solidified in one specific or units of values, as in application to optical light or any form visible, or the existence of something to denomination counts, down to the molecular atoms in the optical spectrum of an electromagnetic wavelengths visible to the human eye. Hypothetically, darkness alone is devoid of any specter.
When applied to optical science, we encounter spectrum optical analyzer practically applied to the visibility of the human eye (merely light) range-measured in wavelengths, a part or portion electromagnetic spectrum. The typical human eye does not specifically respond to fixed wavelength. There are those that are capable of perceiving wavelengths from 400 to 700 nm (nanometers, billionth of a meter), and some could respond from 350 to 780 nm.
The light-sensitive eye has wavelength capabilities of 555 nm in the green optical spectrum. Not everybody is able to distinguish color. The eye and brain at times lack the capabilities to distinguish this. In cases like it, usually the biological make-up of the person has something to do with the optical messages from the brain. Some colors like brown and pink may not be visible generally, to particular individuals; or some, may be colorblind since birth, cannot see colors as visibly distinguished by others.
The Ultra Violet Spectrum of Flowers
Some species of creation have different wave perception from that of the human eye. Flying species like butterflies, bees and other pollen carrier from plants, see the advantage of color in flowers, of ultraviolet in nature, very useful in nectar-search that helps some plant life cycle to perpetuate its life existence thru cross pollination. Plants of this kind (its flowers) have some attraction to these insects, visibly appearing to be in the ultraviolet spectrum.
Generally, the true colors of the flowers, visible to the type of insects that gather pollen grains lies in the ultraviolet spectral chart, and ultimately help in the reproductive process of the flora around us.
Spectrum optical analyzer visibly copes within the optic field in describing the different colors of the rainbow. Colors in the wavelength range in the optic visible light are violet, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red in the right order of arrangement. "Microwave" and "radio" are the results when the wavelength gets larger below the red visible light, and become infrared (wavelength radiation between 700nm and 1mllimeter); whereas, Ultraviolet rays, X-ray, and Gamma Ray result when wavelengths radiation get smaller above violet light.
